Our new ‘Essential Sourdough’ class will be led by Emmanuel Hadjiandreou -award winning baker, author and current teacher at the Artisan School of Food in Nottinghamshire.

The day will start with a quick intro and some welcome drinks and pastries. You’ll then be getting hands on making bread from scratch.

Three different breads will be made throughout the day; A traditional white sourdough, a sourdough rye and a flavoured sourdough. All will be made with the Bread Source sourdough starter.

Emmanuel will talk you through all aspects of sourdough- from sustaining the culture, how to work with it through to mixing, moulding and finally baking. The aim of the day is to build confidence through all aspects of bread making with an emphasis on sourdough.

The day costs £120pp and includes:

All food and drinks throughout the day- pastries, tea & coffee, a delicious home cooked lunch and glass of Prosecco. You’ll also get to take home everything you’ve baked along with a goody bag filled with lots of other treats from the bakery (including our Bread Source ‘Mother’ sourdough!) and recipes cards with tips and advice.

The day starts at 10am and finishes approximately at 5pm
Class sizes are limited to 10 people and suitable for all abilities.
